If you are unable to attend in the day, there is the opportunity to attend the evening talk from 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. which is being organised by the school for parents and students from the surrounding area. Phil Garner has been a head teacher of both state and independent schools for over 20 years and he is passionate about how students learn, how they study most effectively and how they achieve the highest possible learning outcomes. Phil works with students throughout the country, who are considering undergraduate and graduate study in the USA, preparing them for the SAT entrance tests and the detailed application process. He has assisted students in obtaining places at Yale, Princeton, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Dallas and Full Sail University. Phil graduated from University of Birmingham, studied for a Diploma in Education at Carnegie College of Physical Education and gained his Master’s degree from University of Bristol.

Tom Whittaker is an experienced international education professional with a background in student recruitment, marketing, communications, partnerships and business development. Previous to the University of British Columbia he was International Officer at the University of Bolton where he managed all aspects of the university's international work including recruitment, marketing, budget, agents, partnerships, and overall strategy. He was also Marketing & Communications co-ordinator at the British Council where one of his tasks was implementing various international student recruitment activities. He has been a Recruitment Co-ordinator at Lancashire Constabulary and Assistant Soccer Coach & Student Life Co-ordinator at Urbana University.
